The best access point to Sooke Hanger is via Kangaroo Road in Metchosin. On Kangaroo Road, drive South for 1.5 kms. turn right on Barrow Road. Continue on Barrow Road for .5 km. At the junction with La Bonne Road, continue straight (not taking the right turn on Barrow Road) and proceed for 4 km. Turn right on Selborne Drive to end. This is the entrance to the Sooke Hanger development.

Use the following routes depending your direction of travel:

  1. If coming from North Vancouver Island (Comox, Nanaimo, Duncan), travel on the Trans Canada Highway South / Provincial Route 1. After the Malahat, take a slight right onto Spencer Road. Take a left turn on Goldstream Avenue / Provincial Route 1A. Turn right on Jacklin Road, then a left onto Sooke Road, then left onto Kangaroo Road.
  2. If coming from South Vancouver Island (Downtown Victoria, BC Ferries (Swartz Bay Terminal), Victoria International Airport), travel on the Trans Canada Highway North / Provincial Route 1. Take Highway 14 Exit towards Langford / Sooke. Take a slight right onto Millstream / Veterans Memorial Parkway / Provincial Route 14 S. Turn right onto Sooke Road, then left onto Kangaroo Road.
